Autopsychology

I've stopped telling myself things like...

I don't like being alone.
I'm scared to take on debt for medical school.
I won't be a good mom.

And replaced them with...

Solitude can be refreshing.
The debt will be manageable and worth it.
I may be a little crazy and nerdy, but that will only make motherhood more interesting.

Life is easier when you cease to be the source of your own stress.

Thank you for sharing! Those are all good replacements. And the last line is such a good reminder to me, too. :)

(By the way, I've always thought you'd be a great mom anyway. And I definitely know about the rephrasing the debt thing--extended schooling is scary sometimes, but I believe it's worth it, too.) :)

You will be an amazing Mom - I can remember when I wondered the same thing but Dad had faith in me and when it happened it was the most natural thing I have ever done.
