Viva la Extended Stay Deluxe

Chris and I decided to go to Vegas for my graduation trip. We figured we could hit it big, take the house, and pay for medical school up front. Or blow all our money in one last hurrah before we move across the country.

Since I've never played penny slots, that probably seems improbable. But we really are here in Las Vegas until the end of May. Chris got a job with a free-lance interpreting company that will pay him handsomely for his services on top of covering the drive to and from Vegas and the cost of staying in a hotel while we're here. It was an offer we couldn't refuse, especially since Vegas is our dream vacation spot. I will actually be here for a week, then back in Provo for a week, then back here for three more weeks. During those three weeks, I will hopefully be working for a local temp agency...or making burritos at Bajio's.

The good news about our hotel is that it's 3 miles away from the strip and close to UNLV and the public library. I went on a little walk yesterday, and I saw a cockroach for the first time in my life. I guess that's better than some other things I could see for the first time in Sin City. And thus our summer adventures begin.

I'm so glad you guys made it there okay! You need to keep this thing updated. I'm sure you will have plenty of blogging material living so close to the strip!

We can't wait for the garage sale on the 10th! See you soon!

Have fun in LV - don't party too hard. Should be a grand (I accidentally typed 'grad' at first) - thought Chris might appreciate that.

I can't believe that you saw your first cockroach. Seriously, the first? That's nuts... they're gross.
