Saga Continued

At Ann Marie's request, and because she is irresistably adorable, I will continue my saga. Hold on to your britches...

In Virginia, girl also visits possible graduate schools.
Boy and girl in limbo (not the dancing kind) as girl figures out just how necessary a PhD is, right now, in her life. But still very, very much in love.
Boy and girl fly home on an airplane together (it's so nice to be able to sleep on the person next to you :).
Girl figures out that this boy needs to stay in her life...forever.
Boy and girl get engaged on girl's parents' couch (girl's parents are outside, blissfully unawares).
Boy and girl don't tell anyone for a week, for reasons soon forthcoming.
Girl very nonchalantly asks her parents out to dinner on a double date at Chili's in American Fork.
Girl and boy go ring shopping.
In the love-o-matic haze of ring shopping, boy and girl lose track of the time and are late to the aforementioned double date...a tragic mistake.

Note: for those of you unacquainted with my well-intentioned but sometimes complicated father, please understand the magnitude of this dinner date. It was huge. Scary. And the outcome was on the one hand perfectly predictable, and on the other hand absolutely random. For more explanation...we'll have to have a sleepover or something, because it could take awhile.

Girl and boy frantically drive to American Fork, having called ahead to tell parents they would be late.
Girl and boy tell parents they are getting married.
Mom says, I'm so happy for you!
Dad looks at the window, writes on his napkin, avoids eye contact...then finally says, why would you want to do that?
Dinner finally ends.
Boy calls his parents and leaves a message saying, I'm getting married! See you in August!
Boy's dad leaves a subsequent message saying, good job!
Girl buys dress, etc etc
Girl and boy get married...FOREVER!! (p.s. thanks to those of you who were there. We were so grateful for your presence :)
Wedding day goes off w/o a hitch. Except boy's grandparents and 2 members of wedding party are no-show for pictures. But let's be honest, my err girl's attention was definitely elsewhere.
Perhaps a few of you noticed pin under boy's jacket at said event: "It's my first time."
Boy and girl dance in what must have been the most romantic moment of all eternity, right? (watching the wedding video, I would give anything to remember what we actually said to each other! All you can really see is me crying, we smooch etc.)
Boy and girl drive off into the sunset...you get the picture.

Phew, that took forever. haha, get the pun?
